 "Gate of Sorrow was formed in 2006 by renaming the original name of the band Gate. The band members decided to make this move because of the different musical style that Gate of Sorrow is now pursuing. It can be said that the band still played gloomy Death/Trash Metal under the name Gate. The band releases 3 CDs under this name. Now, however, a charismatic singer intervenes in the singing, melodic passages alternated with hard playing of guitars, charge of the bass guitar, technically perfect sounds of drums, atmospheric keyboards and, without a doubt, the right sharp voice of the male growl. The group mainly added bombast, which is also underlined by orchestral elements and loops that can help create a really perfect atmosphere. Most of their fans compare them to groups like Dimmu Borgir and Nightwish. In terms of listening, this is really a peculiar group, in which you can undoubtedly feel the influences of Scandinavian countries, which is confirmed by both fans and the media. The band with the new name has released 1 promo CD in its two-year existence, and now their full-length CD is hotly anticipated, from which the band has been releasing one song after another at concerts for some time now. There is nothing left but to wish the band much success not only in the Czech audience, but also abroad and eagerly await their new CD."

"Gate of Sorrow vznikla v roce 2006 přejmenováním původního názvu kapely Gate. K tomuto tahu se členové skupiny rozhodli kvůli odlišnému hudebnímu stylu, kterým se Gate of Sorrow nyní ubírá. Dá se říct, že skupina ještě pod názvem Gate hrála pochmurný Death/Trash Metal. S tímto názvem kapela vydává 3 CD. Nyní však do zpěvu zasahuje charismatická zpěvačka, melodické pasáže střídané s tvrdou hrou kytar, nábojem baskytary, technicky dokonalými zvuky bicích, atmosférických kláves a bezesporu správně řízlým hlasem zvěváka. Skupina přidala hlavně na bombastičnosti, což podtrhují také orchestrální prvky či smyčky, které dokáží pomoct navodit opravdu dokonalou atmosféru. Většina jejich fans je přirovnává ke skupinám jako jsou Dimmu Borgir a Nightwish. Poslechově se opravdu jedná o svéráznou skupinu, ve které jsou bezesporu cítit vlivy skandinávských zemí, což potvrzují jak fanoušci, tak média. Kapela s novým názvem ve své dvouleté existenci vydává 1 promo CD a nyní se žhavě očekává jejich plnohodnotné CD, ze kterého už kapela nějakou dobu na koncertech pouští jednu píseň za druhou. Nezbývá nic jiného než kapele popřát mnoho úspěchu nejen v českém publiku, ale i za tuzemskou vodou a s nadšením očekávat jejich nové CD."
